We have installed air conditioning in several specially adapted railway vehicles which are used for track inspection. This is one of them, freshly painted and close to completion. The air conditioning system condenser unit is housed in a purpose built enclosure behind the louvres seen just past the door. It is used to condition three separate zones loaded with IT equipment within the coach.

The Mitsubishi Electric ‘Outdoor Unit’ inside of the louvres with the front of its enclosure removed.

Looking forward in the carriage with the ‘Outdoor’ enclosure on the right.

A refrigerant control box and insulated piping in the space between ceiling and roof.     A slender ceiling cassette unit just fits in place.       Another cassette in place with ceiling panels being fitted around it.
